COVID-19 Pool Safety Measures

COVID-19 Pool Safety Measures
National Golf Club has implemented a plan to open the swimming pool area as safely as possible. Using guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and the Prince George’s County Health Department, these are the steps we are taking:
  • New Pool Furniture - We have chosen pool furniture that has hard surfaces that are easy to clean.
  • Distancing - The furniture is placed in groups of 2-4 seats per section. We ask that members not move the seating groups to make sure that they stay at least 10 feet away from each other.
  • Regular Cleaning - Housekeeping staff has been directed to clean the pool area as often as possible. Lifeguards will also have disinfectant sprays and other supplies to clean surfaces throughout the day.
  • Water Quality - The professional pool management company, Premier Swim, has suggested keeping chlorine levels higher than normal. We will keep chlorine at the higher level of the acceptable range.
Do not visit the club if you have experienced any of these symptoms in the last 14 days:
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Muscle or body aches
